Closing Accounts Using the State Options

On the state options parameter (system control menu – state options) there are two separate features available for closing state restricted accounts

•  You have the ability to close the acct with a specific close code using the fields “close accounts (Y)” and “close code”

· First set up the close code (system control – close codes)

· Second enter a “Y” in “close accounts” field and enter the close code in the “close code” field on the state options parameter

•  You can apply a smart code that closes the account using the field “apply smart code”

· First set up the close code (system control – close codes)

· Second create the smart code (system control menu – smart codes) to close the account and enter the smart code in the “apply smart code” field.
