To stop accounts (that have never been reported) from getting reported to the credit bureau, use one of the following methods:
- To stop reporting on an individual account you can set up and apply a “stop credit reporting” description code. place this description code in the system parameters field "stop credit reporting codes" (system control menu - system parameters)
Note: For the above option, if this description code is removed from the account, the account will be reported the next time you run the credit reporting process if the credit reporting eligibility date has passed
- To stop reporting on an individual account you can set up and apply a “stop credit reporting” description code. Place this description code in the credit reporting parameter field “description codes to stop accounts from being reported in the future” (system control menu 2 - credit reporting)
- To stop reporting all accounts in a specific state place an “N” in the state options field “no credit reporting (N)” (system control menu 2 - state options)
- To stop reporting all accounts for a client place a “N” in the client master field “credit reporting (N,A)” (management menu - client update) Note: Any accounts loaded before placing the "N" can still reported. This option only takes affect on accounts placed after the "N" is added.
