Standard letters:

• A standard letter is a letter that is available for all companies.
• You only have to set up the letter format system control (letter text) once in the system.
• To activate a standard letter in additional companies, you only need to set up the letter code system control option in that letter code in the company.

Special letters:

• A special letter is a letter that is available for only the company it was created for.
• It is usually a variation of the same letter code from another company.
• You have to set up both the letter format system control (letter text) and the letter code system control option in that company.
