Using a Smart Code to Change Owner or Worker on Linked Closed Inactive Accounts

Smart codes do not duplicate to inactive closes so changing the owner/worker on these accounts can sometimes be challenging.

However, the work group is designed differently so changing owners/workers on inactive closes in a linked group can be done with a smart code by using a work group.

Set up a work group for the owner code you want the accounts to change too

Set up your SC as follows:

• Change owner - enter the new work group code
• Duplicate for other cases (Y,C,A,G) - A
• Duplicate on all (Y) - Y
• Change owner code using work group code (Y,X) - Y

This will change all the owners and workers in the linked group to what was specified within the work group
