By default, when a smart code is applied from the action line it does not duplicate. If you want the smart code to duplicate you must:
When you set up the smart code action line to apply a smart code you will need to key in the word DUP beside the smart code that you are applying E.g: *600*DUP_________________
If you want to apply a smart code and add a note, you can add the note after the word DUP E.g: *600*DUP CLOSE ACCOUNT____ or *600*DUPCLOSE ACCOUNT____
If you want to apply a smart code with a specific override, you will need to key in OVR-xxxx (xxxx is the specific override) in the last 8 positions on the action line E.g: *600*DUP_________OVR-D1SI
Make sure the action line smart code is set up to duplicate using the field “duplicate for other cases”
NOTE: If you want both the original smart code and the action line smart code to duplicate then they both need the field “duplicate for other cases” to be set up. The exception to this rule is if you are making your decisions by using the primaryaccount feature in the ? logic. In this case the original smart code will not be duplicated
Note: Smart codes do not allow duplication to accounts with inactive close codes
