If you try to delete a letter code (system control menu – letter codes) and there are accounts with the letter code pending on the F10 screen the system assumes you want those letters to go out so the nightly processing removes the “D”
- To delete a letter code you must make sure there are no accounts with this letter code pending. If so, you must either allow them to go out or apply a smart code to “clear letters pending (Y)”
- You can do this by making sure to remove the letter code from all features that request letters (smart codes, contact series, etc.) and changing the fields “allow in contact series (Y,A)” and “allow as selected letter (Y,A)” on the letter code parameter to “blank”
- Wait one day then try deleting the letter again
