Tracking Payment Arrangements

It is very important that you set up a smart code to be used when a payment arrangement is set up. The payment arrangement details must be set up using the special screen from within the account details. (F9) By using a smart code, we will be able to track the arrangement as a "promise to pay". The smart code used should be similar to a promise to pay, with one difference. You should not force the user to enter a promise amount. The follow-up date should be optional, and there is a special code "A" for the "follow-up" field in the smart code, for use with a payment arrangement.
