Assigning a Contact Series by Balance

There are a couple of options for assigning a contact series based on account balances

  • For new placement accounts, the system control parameter (system control menu - contact series by client) would be used. This option gives you the flexibility to assign different “contact series by definition” codes based on 10 different placement balance ranges. It also allows you to assign a different “contact series by definition” code based on whether a phone number exists on the account or not. This option is by client, so the field “contact series client code” (management menu – client update) will need to be updated for the client.
  • For existing accounts, a new “contact series by client” can be started based on the primary account balance by using a smart code. Enter the “contact series by client” code followed by an * E.g. X* (where X is your code) that you created in the field "start contact series" on the smart code

To re-start a “contact series by client” that already exists on the account enter an * followed by an S (*S) in the field “start contact series” on the smart code

Note: If using the "add amount to placement balance" features on the client master, the total balance will be used instead of the placement amount.

Note: The Contact series by client (linked balance) IS ONLY active for new placements. If using a Smart code to start a Contact series by client, the linked balance feature is ignored.
