Backup Recommendations

In case of a catastrophic problem such as a fire or system crash, you will only be able to recover if you have the proper backups.

• We recommend that you use the nightly processing data backup option as it will backup all RMEx data and libraries. Be sure to use different tapes for each day of the week and ensure that backups are maintained offsite
• We recommend you backup all your IBM programs (a full system save) quarterly, every time you load PTFs and when you upgrade the operating system. Ensure that backups are maintained offsite
