Saving an Excel File as a Delimited File

To convert an excel file to a "delimited" file, pull up the excel spreadsheet with the information to be converted. Then from the tool bar at the top chose:

• "File", then "save as"
• In the "save as" window select the drop down box ""save as type"
• Look for "text (tab delimited)(*.txt)" to save as a tab delimited file, or scroll through to save it as the appropriate delimited file based on the programming needs.
