When a state option is created or changed it will only effect:
- New accounts added to the system
- Existing accounts where the address is updated after the state option is created or changed
Ex. Previously you were allowed to work accounts in GA, but now you are not allowed to work accounts in GA. You change the state option to close all GA accounts. Any new accounts loaded or new address changes will close. Any existing accounts with GA as the state will not close. You will need to close these existing accounts either manually or using a smart code
NOTE: When an address change occurs, the nightly program will only select accounts that have the standard RMEx base note format for state and zipcode changes. If you change addresses using a custom interface you must make sure that program uses the exact first 9 characters of the RMEx standard note format for state and zipcode which is:
State/Zip
You can see this note by manually changing a state on a test account and then checking the note that the system applied. Make sure you see this note, it is the notes the program reads to know the address was changed.
