What the term Original Creditor means to the Credit Bureau

To the credit bureau you are their client.

When the credit bureau refers to the "original creditor" they are referring to your client. The client name on the account is the name that is populated into the "original creditor" field in the METRO2 file.

The METRO2 file does not have a field for the original creditor, which is what you would store in our original creditor field.
